Employer Sponsored Visas Australia
The employee sponsored visa scheme under Australia’s Immigration Law was established to address skill shortages in Australia’s job market. In order to obtain a working visa under these conditions, an employer sponsorship is necessary.
What employer sponsored immigration visas are available?
There are a range of temporary and permanent employer sponsored immigration opportunities for workers across the globe. Depending on where you plan to work, i.e. regional or metropolitan, you may be eligible for different visas.
CS HR & Migration can help you apply for the following vis subclasses:
- Employer Nomination Scheme visa (subclass 186)
- Temporary Skill Shortage visa (subclass 482)
- Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) visa (subclass 494)
Who can be sponsored?
A skilled worker can be sponsored from overseas if the employer is unable to find an Australian citizen or resident with the experience and skills needed for the job. There are both temporary and permanent sponsorship options. The support you provide the visa holder will depend on your responsibilities as an employer in addition to the type of visa chosen.
A skilled worker can be sponsored if they:
- Live overseas and wish to work in Australia
- Are already in Australia on a visa that does not allow them to work
- Already living and working on another visa in Australia
Who can be a sponsor?
Any legally operating business can apply to be a sponsor for a worker. Depending on the position you are sponsoring and the business you have established, different visas may be applicable for sponsorship.
