Child Visa
If you are an Australian citizen, permanent resident or New Zealand citizen and wishes to live with your child in Australia, you can apply for a child which allows you to bring your child in Australia. This is applicable to legitimate and adopted children.
Child Visa (Subclass 101) lets the child of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen to migrate to or remain in Australia on a permanent basis.
THIS VISA ALLOWS THE CHILD TO:
- Live, stay, and work in Australia permanently;
- Travel in and out of Australia for five (5) years;
- Sponsor family member/s to come to Australia;
- Register in Medicare, Australia’s public healthcare system;
- Apply for citizenship, if qualified.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS VISA:
Processing
- Processing time may take around 18-22 months, but the Cornerstone Migration team will exert best efforts to get it in less than the stated months.
- Be mindful when filling the application. Avoid errors when inputting data, and always check documents to be included.
- Pay the correct visa application charges. Application will not be process if the applicant has not paid the costs.
Eligibility
- Be the child of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen.

Child Visa (Subclass 101) incurs the following costs:
- Main Applicant: AUD2,665
- There are also other payments, not part of the cost mentioned above, for health checks, biometrics, and police certificates.
Adoption Visa (subclass 102) allows kids who are adopted outside Australia migrate to Australia with their adoptive parents.
THIS VISA ALLOWS THE CHILD TO:
- Live, stay, and work in Australia permanently;
- Travel in and out of Australia for five (5) years;
- Sponsor family member/s to come to Australia;
- Register in Medicare, Australia’s public healthcare system;
- Apply for citizenship, if qualified.

THIS VISA ALLOWS THE CHILD TO:
- Live, stay, and work in Australia permanently;
- Travel in and out of Australia for five (5) years;
- Sponsor family member/s to come to Australia;
- Register in Medicare, Australia’s public healthcare system;
- Apply for citizenship, if qualified.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN APPLYING FOR THIS VISA:
